Facetted citrine cabochons

Citrine or Sunela Ratna (India) is a rare transparent, yellow variety of quartz that has been used as a gemstone since ancient times. The crystals are hexagonal with no cleavage and hardness of 7 on Mohs scale making them suitable to be used in rings. Due to it's affordability, it is used as a substitute for yellow sapphire. It is popularly known as “merchant’s stone” or “money stone”, due to belief that it would lead to financial success and bring prosperity. It is linked to the Navel and Solar Plexus Chakras and promotes creativity, mental clarity, optimistic outlook, ability to make positive decisions and improve focus.
