Clear Quartz is a colorless, hard, crystalline mineral composed of silica (silicon dioxide) that is transparent or translucent and may contain inclusions. Based on crystal type, two types of quartz are known, viz. macrocrystalline quartz (individual crystals visible to the unaided eye) and the microcrystalline or cryptocrystalline varieties (aggregates of crystals visible only under high magnification).
