Moonstone
Moonstone is a sodium potassium aluminum silicate variety of feldspar and displays a pearly and opalescent gloss. It displays characteristic adularescence, i.e. a milky, bluish interior light, due to diffraction of incident light through alternating layers of orthoclase and albite within the stone.
