Raw emerald stone

This yellow-green beryl mineral is cut, and polished to a beautiful precious gemstone. Due to it's good hardness, it can be used in jewelry. It is used in rings, pendants, necklaces and other customized pieces of art. Emerald crystals are hexagonal and prismatic and have numerous inclusions and surface-breaking fissures. It is found all over the world, although Colombia is the world’s largest producer of emeralds, followed by Zambia. Emerald is associated with the planet Mercury and linked to intellect, communication, and business. It is believed to cures epilepsy and leprosy; strengthens eyesight and memory.
