Dalmatian jasper- microscopic view

This microscopic view of raw Dalmatian jasper features tiny crystals of microcrystalline or cryptocrystalline quartz. Black spot of amphibole has a sharp edge. Pale orange to brown spot in close association is due to iron oxide mineral.
