Moh-e-najaf (Golden Rutilated Quartz) cabochon

This cabochon originating from Najaf city of Iraq features celestial spark captured in glass, where golden threads of starlight weave a net for the sun’s warmest rays! The Golden Rutilated Quartz with very fine needles is also popular as "Angel Hair Quartz" or "Venus Hair Quartz". "Moh" in Persian and Urdu refers to hair-like inclusions; while "Najaf" refers to the holy city- Najaf in Iraq. Golden rutilated quartz found elsewhere is called as Hajar al-Sha'r al-Dhahabi (Golden Hair Stone). As an "Illuminator stone", it is believed to help "light up" the mind, clearing away confusion.
