Red Jasper raw stone

Red jasper, an opaque variety of the mineral chalcedony, is an aggregation of microcrystalline quartz in addition to other mineral phases and is characterized by a deep red color from inclusions of iron oxides, particularly hematite. It does not cleave in any particular direction. Due to the vibrant color and durability, Red Jasper is used in jewelry and decorative objects. Associated with the root chakra and sacral chakra, Red jasper is believed to offer protection and grounding. It promotes stability, provides motivation, and increases understanding of the reality.
